Using categories and tags is the best way to organize the information on your blog and make it easier to find. Unfortunately the concept is confusing to new bloggers and overlooked as an “option.” I get a lot of questions about categories and tags, so I wanted to let everybody know that wordpress.com has an excellent post describing categories and tags and how each work.

I also wanted to mention that ScotBlogs may be unavailable from 6-8 AM EST during the Tuesday morning maintenance window to install upgrades, apply security patches and perform other necessary tasks. The maintenance window is a weekly occurrence and we appreciate your understanding.
